A short drive brings you to the Georgian Bay side of the Bruce Peninsula - home to the Niagara Escarpment. Here you can hike on the famous Bruce Trail and experience the majestic cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment.
Sauble River has a provincial park - where you can rent kayaks or canoes and paddle up and down the Sauble River. Each spring & fall - salmon & trout spawn up the Sauble Falls - this is a spectacle to see!
Activities in Sauble Beach include swimming , windsurfing , water-skiing , fishing , golfing , lawn bowling , tennis , street dances, beach volleyball , snowmobiling , cross-country skiing , birding , an annual winterfest and an annual sandcastle contest. The Canadian National (Beach) Volleyball Championships have been held there, and the local Steelback Sauble Speedway is on the NASCAR professional racing circuit.
